Impact Although EJ Wilson was the first Owls' running back on the field Saturday, after he lost a fumble in the second quarter, Littleton took over the role. He finished the day with over 100 yards from scrimmage on 16 touches, more than double the amount EJ Wilson and Joquez Smith had. While the team has made it clear that all three running backs will receive work, Littleton is starting to emerge as the leader.

John Adams - Scores in Saturday's loss Adams caught all two targets for 30 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-20 defeat against Coastal Carolina.
Impact Adams caught a 15-yard touchdown in the second quarter Saturday, his first touchdown since Week 6 last season. He underwent surgery for a broken leg at the end of last season and the start to his 2024 campaign has not been strong. Despite scoring versus Coastal Carolina, he has just four catches on six targets through three games which makes his value pretty low.

Dante Wright - Productive in Saturday's loss Wright compiled nine receptions (on 10 targets) for 99 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-20 loss to Coastal Carolina.
Impact Wright led all Owls' receivers in receptions, targets and yards Saturday, and none of his teammates were even close. He also caught a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He has been excellent in his last two games -- with two different quarterbacks -- catching 20 passes (on 23 targets) for 200 yards and two touchdowns. With Temple expected to lose most of the rest of the season, Wright will have plenty of opportunities to accumulate receptions and yards.

Evan Simon - Decent in season debut Simon completed 17 of 25 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 28-20 loss to Coastal Carolina. He also had 11 rushes for four yards.
Impact Simon made his first start of the season Saturday with Forrest Brock (head) out. Simon put together a solid effort, completing 68 percent of his passes and tossing a pair of touchdowns. His performance was better than both of Brock's first two outings, so there's a chance Simon could steal the job after losing the battle in training camp.
