Impact Wisner is set to see a much bigger role than what was previously anticipated prior to CJ Baxter's (knee) season-ending injury. The sophomore running back found the end zone on a 3-yard run during the first quarter. Although he finished with just five carries, this is likely due to the blowout nature of the contest and will likely see more volume in what is expected to be a much closer game against Michigan during Saturday's road matchup.

Second-team reps Saturday Wisner took second-team reps during the Longhorns' practice Saturday, Andrew Miller of FanSided reports.

Impact Among the Longhorns' healthy options at running back, Wisner and Jaydon Blue are the only ones to have logged stats at the FBS level. Thus, it is not all that surprising Blue and Wisner are undergoing first-team and second-team reps respectively with CJ Baxter (knee) out for 2024. If Baxter and Blue's 2023 season is any indication, Wisner is due for a significant increase in his statistical output.
