Comes up short again Young shot a three-under 68 in the final round but finished in solo second two strokes behind Peter Malnati at the Valspar Championship. Impact Young yet again came up short in the final round of a PGA Tour event in which he was in contention. He has been a factor on a number of Sunday's throughout the last few years, but just not been able to put everything together. On this particular Sunday there were a lot of players who hadn't done much on the PGA Tour and it looked like a player of Young's talent could capitalize. Young got to four-under for the day and in a share of the lead after birdies at 11, 12 and 14, but Malnati went one ahead with a birdie at 17 and Young made it easy on him by making bogey at 18. Young led the field in SG: Off-the-Tee to no surprise, but just didn't putt quite as well as Malnati. Young is not in the field for the Houston Open next week.
