PGA Tour win No. 13 in Memphis Thomas closed with a five-under 65 to win the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational by three strokes on Sunday. Impact Thomas started the final round four back of the lead. He made the turn in four-under and held it together when many of the leaders struggled on the back-nine. A lucky break at the par-4 15th might have been the difference. He went from looking at a possible double-bogey, to making an easy birdie. A late charge from Brooks Koepka came up short when he hit his tee shot on 18 into the water. For Thomas, career PGA Tour win No. 13 gets him back to the top spot in the OWGR. He has to go into the PGA Championship next week as the favorite after becoming the first three-time winner this season.
