North Carolina trailed Ole Miss by 21 early in the second half. Then, with 5:07 remaining, the Tar Heels cut that lead to four points when Jalen Washington jammed in two points, which was part of an 11-0 run. North Carolina got to within two points with 1:09 remaining, but Sean Pedulla drained a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession for Ole Miss, which helped it pull away and escape with the victory. The Tar Heels never scored again after trimming the lead to two.
FIRST HALF
Ole Miss began the game on a 14-4 run, thanks to eight points and two 3-pointers from Dre Davis — who finished the first half with 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the field, while making a trio of 3-pointers. The Rebels, who hit a combined seven 3-pointers in the half, led 44-26 at halftime.
