College football Week 13 highlights: Oklahoma upsets Alabama, Notre Dame dominates
Week 13 of the college football season continued Saturday with some shocking results that will have a major impact on the College Football Playoff rankings.
In the early window, chaos reigned in the SEC, as No. 9 Ole Miss was toppled by an unranked Florida squad. In other action, No. 8 Miami pulled away in the second half to rout Wake Forest, while No. 2 Ohio State notched an impressive 38-15 win over No. 5 Indiana in a Big Ten showdown.
Later, No. 4 Penn State earned a gritty win at Minnesota, Kansas proved virtually unstoppable in an upset of No. 16 Colorado, and Arizona State topped BYU in a wild finish that included a field-storming before the game was over.
In the night window, Oklahoma arguably had one of the biggest upsets of the season. Its defense dominated No. 7 Alabama en route to a three-score win. No. 6 Notre Dame also drubbed No. 19 Army at Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile, No. 22 Iowa State won a squeaker at Utah to keep its Big 12 title chances strong.
