College football Week 5 highlights: Alabama beats Georgia in instant classic

Week 5 of the 2024 college football season was full of highlights and a pair of memorable games.

The battle between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama lived up to the hype. After the Crimson Tide took an early 28-0 lead, the Bulldogs bounced back to go up 34-33 with under three minutes left. However, Alabama took the lead back on the next play and ultimately won 41-34.

Elsewhere, No. 3 Ohio State had a strong win at East Lansing, defeating Michigan State 38-7. No. 9 Penn State grinded out a victory at home against No. 19 Illinois, winning 21-7. 

Earlier, No. 23 Kansas State handled No. 20 Oklahoma State by double digits, while Kentucky stunned No. 6 Ole Miss on the road. Colorado was dominant in an upset win over UCF, winning 47-21. Meanwhile, No. 12 Michigan escaped Minnesota on "Big Noon Kickoff," and you can check out the recap here.
