College football Week 8 highlights: Georgia takes down Texas, Iowa State escapes UCF

Week 8 of the 2024 college football season was full of drama, and we've got you covered with everything from a jam-packed Saturday slate.

Kicking things off, No. 6 Miami (Fla.) went on the road and held off Louisville. Meanwhile, No. 16 Indiana dominated Nebraska on FOX's "Big Noon Kickoff." Check out the action from start to finish of that game here.

In the afternoon window, No. 11 Tennessee took down No. 7 Alabama in one of college football's top rivalries, scoring the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. No. 22 Illinois defeated Big Ten foe No. 24 Michigan by double digits. 

Later, No. 8 LSU easily topped Arkansas in the Battle for the Boot. No. 9 Iowa State also avoided an upset, beating UCF at home with a last-minute touchdown, 38-35.

In the biggest game of the weekend, No. 5 Georgia picked up a wire-to-wire win over No. 1 Texas in Austin.
