The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series made a stop at Talladega Superspeedway for the GEICO 500 on Sunday, providing another thrilling finish.
Michael McDowell led the race more than anyone after qualifying for pole position on Saturday, holding a lead for 37 laps. He was able to hold off surging drivers too for much of the race's final laps, staying in front until the final turn.
McDowell spun out with the finish line in sight, blocking Brad Keselowski for a brief moment to allow Tyler Reddick to speed ahead and win the race.
