NFL Week 18 highlights: Texans edge Colts to clinch playoff spot
Week 18 of the NFL season opened Saturday with a pair of tense AFC matchups with playoff implications.
The Steelers and Ravens renewed their classic rivalry in Baltimore to open the day. The road team came out on top, 17-10, on a wet and rainy field against the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens to help its playoff chances. The Steelers still need losses from the Bills and Jaguars in order to earn a wild-card berth.
The Texans closed out the night by winning a de-facto playoff game against the Colts, prevailing 23-17 after both teams traded scores for much of the second half. The win clinched a playoff spot for Houston, which returned to the postseason for the first time since 2019. Indianapolis was eliminated from postseason contention. The Texans can still win the AFC South if the Jaguars lose to the Titans on Sunday.
