Copa América action contined Thursday on FOX with defending champion Argentina tied 1-1 with CONMEBOL rival Ecuador after 90 minutes plus stoppage time in the quarterfinals at NRG Stadium in Houston.
There is no extra time in Copa América knockouts until the final, so the match went penalty kicks, and Emiliano Martinez came up clutch again with two saves to bail Lionel Messi out from a rare miss and power a 4-2 penalty shootout win.
