In the end, the Brahmas weren't able to pull off a comeback and turned things over on downs to end the game.
Week 3 of the UFL came to a close with the St. Louis Battlehawks (2-1) handing the San Antonio Brahmas (2-1) their first loss of the season in a back-and-forth battle at the Alamodome in Texas on Sunday.

In the end, the Brahmas weren't able to pull off a comeback and turned things over on downs to end the game.
4th - 6:23: Battlehawks 31, Brahmas 24
The Brahmas brought the game back within one score late in the fourth quarter, as QB Chase Garbers found Alize Mack for the team's second touchdown of the game.
But the big play of the drive was one between Garbers, Jontre Kirklin and Cody Latimer to get the crucial first down.
4th - 8:33: Battlehawks 31, Brahmas 18
After forcing the Brahmas to punt, Jacob Saylors found the end zone for the first time with a 19-yard rushing touchdown.
Then, QB A.J. McCarron connected with Saylors for the two-point conversion, further extending St. Louis' lead.
4th - 12:11: Battlehawks 23, Brahmas 18
Andre Szymt helped the Battlehawks keep hold of their lead after draining his third field goal of the game with a 46-yarder to open the fourth quarter.
Prior to the field goal, the Brahmas registered two sacks on the drive. Jacob Sykes had one in the third quarter and Jalen Dalton had another in the opening minutes of the fourth to slow down the Battlehawks and keep them out of the end zone.
3rd - 1:55: Battlehawks 20, Brahmas 18
With time winding down in the third quarter, San Antonio's Anthony McFarland found his way into the end zone on an 8-yard rushing score to make it a two-point game after the ensuing two-point conversion attempt fell incomplete.
3rd - 7:05: Battlehawks 20, Brahmas 12
The Battlehawks answered with a field goal of their own, as Andre Szymt knocked in a 54-yarder to help maintain the lead.
3rd - 11:38: Battlehawks 17, Brahmas 12
Following the fumble recovery, the Brahmas capped off their drive with a 32-yard field goal, courtesy of Ryan Santoso.
3rd - 14:56: Battlehawks 17, Brahmas 9
St. Louis QB A.J. McCarron connected with JaMarcus Bradley on the opening drive of the second half, but San Antonio's Darius Phillips came up big by forcing the wide receiver to fumble.
Phillips recovered the ball and put the Brahmas right back in it.
2nd - 0:00: Battlehawks 17, Brahmas 9
With less than two minutes remaining in the first half, St. Louis QB A.J. McCarron marched his team downfield — but the Battlehawks fell just short of the end zone. They settled for a 44-yard field goal to extend their lead going into halftime.
2nd - 1:57: Battlehawks 14, Brahmas 9
The Brahmas' first touchdown of the game came late in the second quarter when quarterback John Lovett snuck his way up the middle into the end zone to cap off a 17-play drive.
The touchdown was made possible by an all-out effort from the offense to put San Antonio in scoring position.
2nd - 10:56: Battlehawks 14, Brahmas 3
After forcing the Brahmas to go three-and-out on their second possession, the Battlehawks scored again early in the second quarter. QB A.J. McCarron connected with Hakeem Butler for a smooth 20-yard touchdown pass. The drive was capped off by a successful two-point conversion attempt, as McCarron found Jake Sutherland in the end zone.
1st - 4:33: Battlehawks 6, Brahmas 3
St. Louis' A.J. McCarron put his team ahead after connecting with Darrius Shephard to move the sticks and then reaching the end zone on a 10-yard scramble.
However, the two-point conversion was no good, and it remained a three-point game.
1st - 10:22: Battlehawks 0, Brahmas 3
San Antonio was first to get points on the board, as Ryan Santoso capped off a 10-play, 50-yard drive by knocking in a 35-yard field goal early in the opening frame.
