Riley Greene - Powers offense WednesdayGreene went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, an additional run scored and three total RBI in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Cubs.
ImpactGreene went 0-for-8 in his first two games back from the injured list following his absence due to a hamstring strain, but he broke out Wednesday. The young outfielder now has 18 home runs this season to go along with a strong .836 OPS. Greene is a dynamic offensive talent, and he should be poised for a strong finish to the year if he can stay healthy.

Christian Bethancourt - Homers in lossBethancourt went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Tigers.
ImpactBethancourt's fifth inning home run, his fourth of the season, provided all of Chicago's offense. The 32-year-old continues to serve as the backup to Miguel Amaya behind the plate, giving him limited upside in the short term. Neither catcher has been great offensively, however, as Bethancourt is sporting a .196 average and .614 OPS, compared to a .212 average and .584 OPS for Amaya.

Jordan Wicks - Sharp in latest rehab startWicks (oblique) struck out four while allowing one hit and no walks over four scoreless innings in his rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Iowa.
ImpactAfter being tagged for 10 earned runs while walking four batters in 3.2 innings over his first two rehab starts with Iowa, Wicks showed much improved command and control Tuesday while informing the Cubs afterward that he "felt great" during the outing, per Ryan Herrera of AllCHGO.com. After building up to 53 pitches Tuesday, Wicks will need at least one more outing in the minors to get fully stretched out before he returns from the 60-day injured list. Kyle Hendricks would seem to be most at risk of losing his spot in the rotation once Wicks is activated.
