Kris Bubic - Steady in first win Bubic (1-4) earned the win Monday over the Angels. He allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven in six innings.
Impact This was Bubic's longest start of the season, and it was also one of his more effective outings. Taylor Ward gave him some trouble with a solo home run in the third inning and an RBI single in the fifth, but that was the extent of the damage. Even with a strong outing, Bubic has a 7.41 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 31:20 K:BB across 34 innings in 10 appearances (nine starts). When Zack Greinke (elbow) returns from the injured list, it'll likely come down to Bubic or Daniel Lynch exiting the Royals' rotation.

Impact Singer gave up three runs in Sunday's loss to Oakland thanks to home runs from Seth Brown and Sean Murphy. Singer threw 58 of 82 pitches for strikes in the outing. The righty has not lasted more than 5.2 innings since a seven-inning outing on May 22 and has been tagged for three or more earned runs in four of five appearances since then. Impact Keller was lights out Saturday, allowing only one hit across seven frames. He threw 57 of 97 pitches for strikes and picked up a season high six strikeouts in the game. It was the righty's second win of the year and his first since May 3, which was also a shutout. Keller will take a 4.30 ERA into his next outing.
