Impact Manager Mike Matheny suggested earlier in June that Santana was likely to see his playing time take a hit moving forward, but that hasn't come to fruition just yet. The 36-year-old will stick in the lineup for the eighth time in nine games, with his improved production at the plate likely playing a major factor in him receiving steady at-bats. Dating back to June 7, Santana has slashed .409/.552/.636 while walking seven times and striking out just once.

Impact Taylor saw a seven-game hitting streak end with an 0-for-3 effort Monday, but he bounced back with his fifth multi-hit game this month in Tuesday's loss. The steal was his first in two attempts this season -- he's noticeably running less after going 14-for-21 in stolen bases last year. The outfielder has added a .280/.370/.409 slash line with four home runs, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored, a triple and three doubles in 43 contests.

Kris Bubic - Stumbles in sixth inning Bubic (0-4) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5.1 innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Giants.
Impact Bubic gave up just one hit and both walks in his first five innings, but the Giants put four of their first five batters on base with hits in the sixth. The southpaw was responsible for all three runs scored, and the Royals couldn't get him off the hook. The 24-year-old still has an unsightly 8.36 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 24:18 K:BB across 28 innings in nine appearances (eight starts). With Zack Greinke (elbow) expected back as soon as Friday, there's not likely to be room in the rotation for Bubic going forward.
