Monster game Sunday Seager went 4-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Twins.
Impact Seager got the Mariners on the board with a solo shot in the sixth inning. He then added a three-run blast off Twins reliever Alex Colome in the ninth to complete the Mariners' comeback. The two homers were Seager's first long balls of the season. The veteran third baseman is hitting .314/.385/.543 with eight RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base across 39 plate appearances after Sunday's impressive showing.

No spring training carryover yet Seager entered Sunday's action with a .226/.294/.290 line over his 34 plate appearances of the season after hitting .350 across 49 PAs during Cactus League action.
Impact The veteran did lace a go-ahead RBI single and stole a base in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Twins, but as his overall numbers indicate, he hasn't been able to find the same groove he was in during the exhibition slate. Seager has hit under .250 for four consecutive seasons, so while the pedestrian early numbers have been generated over a very modest sample, there's past recent evidence to support the notion they may not dramatically improve as the campaign unfolds.

Impact The veteran third baseman could be headed for the final regular season of his prodigious Mariners career, and it appears he's intent on going out in style if his spring training numbers are any indication. While expectations based on results achieved exhibition play should always be tempered to an extent, it seems clear Seager appears to have his timing at the plate down already.

The Mariners could decide to move on from the long-tenured veteran this coming offseason if Ty France proves ready to take over at third base full time with his play in 2021, but Seager certainly seems like he has plenty left to contribute during his potential final Seattle season.
