Triples in win Garcia started in right field and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a triple in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds. Impact Garcia was given the nod in right field over Andrew Vaughn, who entered Tuesday batting .089 (6-for-67) over the last 18 games. White Sox manager Tony La Russa talked about cycling players in and out of the lineup over the final week of the season in preparation for the postseason with Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. "So we'll see what the smart strategy will be as far as the hitters," La Russa said. "Clearly if the guy's bat is getting a little heavy, he should get less [at-bats]. If he feels great, the more at-bats, the better." Garcia has been one of the team's more consistent bats this month, generating a .361/.402/.542 line with 10 extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored over 23 games.
