Placed on injured list Webb was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain Thursday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Impact Webb dealt with a shoulder strain at the end of May, but he was reinstated from the injured list Saturday and earned the win over the Dodgers. However, the right-hander apparently hasn't moved past the injury and will be shut down once again after he felt shoulder soreness in a recent bullpen session, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports. To prevent another issue, manager Gabe Kapler said that the right-hander won't throw for several weeks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Right-hander Nick Tropeano was recalled as part of a corresponding move, while Scott Kazmir (personal) or Conner Menez could be candidates to take Webb's place in the rotation.

Fans seven in win Webb (4-3) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit while striking out seven across five innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Impact Webb's only hit against him came on a Justin Turner double that scored Gavin Lux in the first inning. In Webb's last three starts, he is 3-0 with a 1.06 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 17 innings. For the season, the 24-year-old has a 3.86 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP with a 9.9 K/9 in 49 innings. His next start is scheduled for Friday against the Cubs.

Impact Webb only missed one turn through the rotation due to a mild right shoulder strain. The right-hander used all of his pitches in a 35-pitch bullpen session Wednesday and didn't require a rehab assignment before returning. It's not clear whether Webb will be on a pitch count Saturday, but Scott Kazmir could serve in a piggyback role if Webb isn't fully built up. Jason Vosler and Nick Tropeano were optioned to Triple-A Sacramento as part of Saturday's roster shuffle.

Impact Webb left his start Monday against the Reds prematurely with what was originally called shoulder soreness. The Giants previously expressed optimism that he wouldn't have to miss a start, but an MRI revealed a mild strain Wednesday which will sideline him for at least one start.
