Impact Conforto is three weeks removed from suffering a hamstring strain and is almost ready to return to game action. It's possible the Giants could ease him back into things initially with some starts at designated hitter, but the important thing is getting his bat back into the lineup.

Impact Conforto has been ramping up workouts, including running the bases Friday. The Giants decided against bringing him back prior to Saturday's game versus the Rockies, but it looks like Conforto will skip a rehab assignment and his return is imminent. He's been sidelined since late August with a strained hamstring.
