Freddy Peralta - Earns fourth straight win Peralta (10-8) earned the win Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Rangers. He struck out 11.

Impact Peralta was mostly dominant Saturday, striking out four of the first six batters he faced before surrendering two hits and two walks in the third, which would lead to one run coming home for Texas. He allowed just two singles from that point on while racking up double-digit strikeouts for the third time in his last five starts. The right-hander has won each of his last four starts and now owns a 1.82 ERA in August to go along with a 37:7 K:BB.

Impact Despite putting up strong numbers in the majors and minor leagues this season, Toro received just one plate appearance -- which resulted in a walk -- during his latest stint with the Brewers. The return of Rowdy Tellez (finger) from the IL will force Toro back to Nashville, though Toro could return as a depth piece once rosters expand in September.

Impact The Brewers said they wanted Tellez to heat up in the minors before they bring him back to the active roster, and with five hits in his last three games, Tellez has done just that. Now that he's healthy, the left-handed Tellez will likely start most often against right-handed starters with the switch-hitting Carlos Santana drawing starts against lefties. Abraham Toro was optioned to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move.

Robert Gasser - Racking up strikeouts at Triple-A Gasser went 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 29:5 K:BB in 18.0 innings over his last four starts with Triple-A Nashville.

Impact Gasser was knocked around a bit in July, but he has bounced back in a big way, striking out at least nine batters in all three of his August starts and keeping opposing baserunners to a minimum. Gasser has never pitched at the big-league level, but there's a chance he could do so before the campaign comes to a close.

Impact Hiura has spent the entire season at the Triple-A level, but he is doing all he can to earn another trip to the big leagues. The Brewers have been hesitant to call him up because that would require opening a spot on the 40-man roster, but with the end of the campaign drawing closer they may change course at some point.

Impact The Brewers began the ninth with a five-run lead but with a runner on and the lead cut to three, Williams was called upon to close out the game. He immediately allowed a double by Travis Jankowski that brought the tying run to the plate, but while a Marcus Semien ground out cut the lead to one, it also cleared the bases and Williams induced a Corey Seager flyout to seal the victory. The earned run allowed was his first since July 5 and it was also just the second time in his last 22 appearances he failed to record a strikeout.

Impact Contreras' third inning double put the Brewers on the board, a single in the seventh directly preceded a Carlos Santana home run, and a two-run single in the eighth gave the Brewers a four-run cushion. Contreras entered the game mired in a 4-for-29 slump while the Brewers entered the contest coming off a three-game sweep against the Dodgers in which they'd only scored three runs.
