Luis Urías - Progressing in running program Urias (hamstring) progressed to running at 50 percent Sunday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact The 25-year-old landed on the shelf April 1 after he suffered a major hamstring strain Opening Day, and he should be nearing the halfway point in his recovery process. Urias will be eligible to be reinstated from the 60-day IL on May 31, though he clearly still has significant work to do in his rehab program.

Impact Over the course of his four rehab starts, Houser has posted a 3.07 ERA and 1.50 WHIP, and after covering five innings and 80 pitches Friday, he appears to be fully stretched out for a starting role. According to Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin, Brewers general manager Matt Arnold said Sunday that Houser's role upon returning from the 15-day injured list is to be determined, but it could hinge on how Colin Rea performs in his start Sunday against the Angels. If Rea struggles, Houser could replace him in the rotation as soon as the Brewers' upcoming series in Colorado that begins Tuesday.

Garrett Mitchell - Transferred to 60-day IL The Brewers transferred Mitchell (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact It's a procedural move that clears up a spot on the 40-man roster for the Brewers that was needed after the team traded for Trevor Megill. Mitchell underwent surgery on his left shoulder Tuesday, and it's very possible that the speedy outfielder will miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign.
