Freddy Peralta - Fires 4.2 scoreless frames Peralta tossed 4.2 scoreless innings in Tuesday's exhibition season finale. He allowed four hits and posted a 5:1 K:BB.

Impact Peralta was locked in during the spring, posting a 3.21 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB in 14.0 innings over four starts. He is lined up to start the Brewers' home opener, which will come Apr. 3 against the Mets.

Willy Adames - Ends spring on high note Adames went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in Tuesday's spring finale.

Impact Adames recorded just seven hits over his first 12 appearances of the spring -- which were sandwiched around a WBC stint with the Dominican Republic -- but he picked up three over the final two games he appeared in before the Brewers broke camp. Adames hit second or third in each spring game he appeared in, which all but locks him into a spot in the upper third of the order to begin the season.

Keston Hiura - Clears waivers, stays with MIL Hiura cleared waivers and was outrighted Tuesday to Triple-A Nashville, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Hiura was designated for assignment Monday, a few days after being informed that he would not be on the Opening Day roster in Milwaukee. It's rather surprising that he didn't draw waiver-wire interest from other teams as a 26-year-old former top prospect, but that's how far his star has fallen. Hiura also could not elect free agency because this was his first career outright assignment. He'll remain part of the Brewers organization for now at a 2023 salary of $2.2 million.

Devin Williams - Set for regular season Williams tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Monday's spring game.

Impact After a stellar WBC showing in which he allowed just two runners to reach base over 3.1 innings, Williams rejoined the Brewers and made two appearances over the past four days. He will open the regular season as the Brewers' closer and will attempt to build on a 2022 campaign that he finished with a 1.93 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 96:30 K:BB over 60.2 innings.

Impact Winker has seen some action in left this spring, but this will be his first time playing right. He could factor into the mix at that spot with Brian Anderson, and perhaps even Owen Miller. Tyrone Taylor (elbow) is not expected to be ready to join Milwaukee's active roster until mid-May. Winker should primarily operate out of the DH spot as the 2023 regular season rolls along.

Impact Contreras did not go yard over his first 15 appearances of the spring, but he made up for lost time by socking a pair of three-run shots Monday. Expect him to be behind the plate when the Brewers kick off the regular season Thursday against the Cubs.

Eric Lauer - Endures slow spring Lauer posted a 11.57 ERA, 2.49 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB in 11.2 innings over four appearances this spring.

Impact Lauer had a rough go of it this spring, but he was hit hard in the exhibition season in both 2021 and 2022 and righted the ship when the regular season got underway, so there may not be as much cause for concern as it appears.

Impact Taylor suffered a right elbow sprain just before reporting to camp in February and has not progressed as quickly as hoped, though he was recently cleared to begin a throwing program. The 29-year-old had been in line for regular starts in right field to open the 2023 campaign. Impact It came down to Miller and Joey Wiemer for the final position player roster spot with the Brew Crew. Miller already being on the 40-man roster likely played a part in the decision, although he also earned it this spring with a .916 OPS and added versatility in showing he can handle center field. The 26-year-old should get some starts against lefties.

Impact Turang has had a solid showing this spring, sporting a .282/.349/.385 batting line with one home run and three stolen bases. He's not coming up to sit, so, at minimum, Turang should be in there at second base against righties, with Luis Urias handling third base. Brian Anderson could see more time in the outfield with Turang making the team. While he could be stuck toward the bottom of the batting order, Turang could be a fantasy asset right away due to his wheels.

Impact Voit technically opted out of his minor-league contract with the Brewers over the weekend, but his return seemed likely after the team dumped Keston Hiura and now it's official. The 32-year-old should play regularly against left-handers and will get a little action versus righties, too, on days Jesse Winker plays the outfield.

Impact As the Brewers gear up for Opening Day on Thursday, Frelick was a part of the team's latest roster moves, returning to minors camp. The 22-year-old produced an impressive .385 average with a double, two RBI, three runs and three stolen bases over 26 at-bats in 10 games this spring. Operating as one of Milwaukee's top prospects, Frelick seems likely to get a shot at the major-league level at some point this summer, but he'll begin the 2023 campaign with Triple-A Durham.

Keston Hiura - Dropped from 40-man roster Hiura was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Hiura was told Friday that he wouldn't be a part of the Opening Day roster and now he's been dropped from the team's 40-man roster. The former top prospect for Milwaukee has never really clicked at the major-league level, most recently batting .226 with a career-high 41.7 percent strikeout rate over 234 at-bats in 80 games last season. Hiura will now either be claimed by another team, remain with Triple-A Nashville or be released outright. Considering the fact that he's only 26 years old, it's unlikely that he wouldn't draw interest from another team.

Abraham Toro - Sent to Triple-A Toro was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact As the Brewers thin down their major-league roster ahead of the 2023 campaign, Toro was the latest member of the spring roster to be relocated. The 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with Milwaukee in January and produced a .185 average with a homer, four RBI and two runs scored over 27 at-bats in 13 games during spring training. Toro struggled to a .185/.239/.324 slash line with the Mariners in 2022 and will likely have to heat up from the plate before he'd get recalled by the Brewers this season.
