Eovaldi tossed 37 of 59 pitches for strikes, with a three-run blast by Giancarlo Stanton in the third inning being the biggest blow against him. Eovaldi will take a 3.88 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 188:34 K:BB through 176.1 innings into what is likely to be his final start of the regular season next week in Baltimore.

Fans eight in no-decision Eovaldi allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings in Sunday's win over the Orioles. He struck out eight and did not factor in the decision.
Impact All three runs allowed by Eovaldi came during the third inning, including a two-run single by Austin Hays. He was in line for his 11th win of the season before Boston's bullpen ran into some trouble in the seventh inning. The 31-year-old righty has recorded a 2.27 ERA with a 48:6 K:BB over his last six starts but he hasn't earned a win since Aug. 11. Eovaldi will carry a 3.58 ERA into his projected home start against the Yankees next weekend.

Five strong innings Eovaldi got a no-decision in an 8-4 win over Seattle on Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in five innings.
Impact Eovaldi brought his typical quality stuff Tuesday aside from a fourth inning that saw him permit both runs charged to his ledger. The nine strikeouts were one off his season high and the 31-year-old has now recorded at least eight strikeouts in each of his last three games. Dating back to his Aug. 11 start, Eovaldi has a 1.90 ERA in 44.2 innings across eight starts.
