Elieser Hernandez - Ready for rehab outingHernandez (illness) is scheduled to make a one-inning rehab appearance Monday with the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com report...
ImpactHernandez has cleared all COVID-19-related protocols since landing on the injured list July 21 and can now turn his focus to getting ramped back up again. Since he's been away from the Marlins for the past week and a half, he could need another rehab appearance after Monday's outing before being activated from the IL.

Brian Anderson - Cleared for soft-toss workAnderson (shoulder) is scheduled to do some soft tossing Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactAnderson doesn't seem to have made substantial progress in his recovery from his left shoulder sprain since landing on the injured list July 24, but his ability to do some throwing Monday at least suggests that he's no longer shut down. A timeline for his return from the IL likely won't come into focus until he's able to resume full baseball activities.

Trevor Rogers - Bullpen session on tapRogers (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactRogers was placed on the 15-day injured list last Friday with lower-back spasms, but the fact that he's already closing in on getting back on the mound suggests he could be in line for close to a minimum-length stay on the shelf. The 24-year-old southpaw has disappointed over his first 19 starts of 2022, producing a 5.85 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 87.2 innings.

Jake Fishman - Designated for assignmentFishman was designated for assignment Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactFishman allowed just one earned run over 3.1 innings in his big-league debut Sunday, but the Marlins decided to remove him from the roster to open up a spot for fellow pitcher Jesus Luzardo. If Fishman goes through waivers unclaimed, he could either remain with the Marlins or decide to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Jesus Luzardo - Starting for Miami on MondayThe Marlins will activate Luzardo (forearm) from the 60-day injured list to have him start Monday's game against the Reds, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactLuzardo missed just shy of three months with his forearm injury, but he completed a rehab assignment and is ready to rejoin Miami's rotation. He threw 75 pitches in his final rehab start, so his pitch count will likely be limited to some degree in his first outing back with the big club.
