Impact Detmers has gone five straight outings without a win, and he's failed to complete five innings in three of those appearances. The southpaw was tagged for a trio of home runs Friday, which accounted for six of the seven runs against him. Detmers is at a 4.78 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 131:41 K:BB through 105.1 innings over 20 starts this season. He's projected for a tough road start in Houston next week.

Impact Detmers was able to pitch his way out of a few jams up until the bottom of the fifth when he walked Alejandro Kirk to open the inning before surrendering a two-run blast to Santiago Espinal. The lefty would retire the next two batters before being relieved by Reynaldo Lopez but still went on to suffer his third straight loss (spanning four starts). Impact Detmers turned in a fine performance, but the Angels couldn't generate any runs. Impact It's Tyler Anderson's turn, but the Angels are off Sunday and would rather have Anderson available in relief, if needed. The matchup for Detmers is a difficult one, but he's been on a roll over his last five starts with a 1.42 ERA and 43:10 K:BB in 31.2 innings. One of his outings during that stretch came against the Dodgers, as he blanked them for seven frames back on June 20.
