Expected to play Wednesday Acuna (wrist) is expected to play in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series on Wednesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Impact Acuna was scratched from Sunday's regular-season finale with left wrist irritation, but his absence from the lineup was considered precautionary. Manager Brian Snitker confirmed after the game that he expects that he'll take the field for the first game of the postseason Wednesday.

Impact Atlanta already locked up its spot in the postseason several days ago, so Acuna's absence from the lineup for the regular-season finale is merely considered precautionary. Acuna should be ready to go for the Braves' playoff opener, but Ender Inciarte will check into the starting nine in his stead Sunday.
