Impact Pederson had been aiming to return to the Giants on their current road trip, which began Monday in Minnesota and runs through the coming weekend, but that seems doubtful to happen. He was placed on the injured list May 15 due to a right hand contusion and the swelling has yet to fully dissipate.

Michael Conforto - Provides big blast Conforto went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk Monday in a 4-1 win against Minnesota.
Impact Conforto got the key hit in a big first inning against Bailey Ober, swatting a three-run homer that ultimately accounted for the winning margin. The long ball was a nice rebound after Conforto struck out in all four of his at-bats against Miami in his previous game. The right fielder has nine homers on the campaign, with five of them coming in his past 11 contests.

Impact Giants closer Camilo Doval pitched both Saturday and Sunday, so Alexander was called upon in the ninth inning with his team up 4-1. Impact Manaea was recently moved to the bullpen after struggling for much of the campaign, but he took on what amounted to nearly a full starting workload Monday, tossing 83 pitches over 3.2 frames. The southpaw somewhat struggled with his control and issued three walks, but he countered that by fanning eight batters, tying his season-high mark. Manaea will likely be down multiple days given his hefty pitch count, and he could move back into the rotation or continue to pitch bulk innings behind an opener with Ross Stripling (back) recently placed on the 15-day IL.
