Impact Wood never found himself in much danger Sunday; only two Guardians reached scoring position and he gave up just one extra-base hit. He tossed 59 of 87 pitches for strikes and forced eight whiffs. The 31-year-old southpaw is now sporting a 1.93 ERA through 9.1 innings. Wood is expected to take the mound in Washington next week.

Daniel Tillo - Links up with Giants Tillo announced on his personal Twitter account Sunday that he has signed a contract with the Giants.

Impact Tillo was granted an unconditional release by the Royals on Wednesday, but it didn't take him long to find a new organization. He has yet to pitch above Double-A in his career, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him start with Double-A Richmond.

Joey Bart - Getting Sunday off Bart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Impact Curt Casali will get the nod behind the dish as the Giants and Guardians wrap up their series with a matinee game. Bart started at either catcher or designated hitter in each of the Giants' last five games, going 5-for-17 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, three RBI and an additional run.

Impact Bart's been very much hit or miss so far -- he's struck out in 13 of his 26 plate appearances, but he's also swatted two home runs and a double. The rookie catcher was initially expected to see a timeshare with Curt Casali, but Bart has gotten the better of that with six starts in the Giants' first eight games. While he's hit no higher than seventh, his fairly consistent presence in the lineup and solid hitting make him a reliable option in fantasy.

Steven Duggar - Records second steal Duggar went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Guardians.

Impact Duggar was the only Giant to post an extra-base hit in Saturday's contest. He's been a regular presence in the eighth spot in the order versus right-hander pitchers, but he's yet to start against a southpaw. The outfielder has a .200/.261/.350 slash line with three doubles, three RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored in 23 plate appearances.

Impact Rogers continues to do his best work in a setup role. He's already earned four holds in five appearances, though he also took a loss in the lone outing he's given up a run. The right-hander has historically been more of a groundball pitcher, so it's not surprising to see him post a 3:0 K:BB across 4.2 innings. As long as his performance is steady, he'll see high-leverage work, but he shouldn't be expected to pitch very often in the ninth inning.

Brandon Belt - Plates two runs Saturday Belt went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win over Cleveland.

Impact Belt recorded his fourth multi-hit performance of the campaign and made his presence felt in the fifth inning when his single to center brought both Thairo Estrada and Steven Duggar home. The veteran first baseman also scored the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth following an RBI groundout from Wilmer Flores. Belt has not been facing lefties this season but is making the most of his opportunities so far, as he's hitting .375 (9-for-24) in 2022.

Jake McGee - Picks up first save of season McGee earned the save Saturday against the Guardians after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Impact McGee pitched in the ninth inning for the first time this season and while he got the job done, it wasn't easy. Needing to protect a two-run lead, McGee gave up a single to Josh Naylor and walked Owen Miller before finding himself with runners on the corners and just one out. However, he struck out Oscar Mercado and retired Myles Straw on a groundout to record his first save of the campaign. While McGee was expected to be the leading alternative on what seems to be a committee-based approach for closing duties, the Giants have been mixing and matching relievers -- meaning McGee's upside should be the one of a late-inning option rather than the one of a true closer.

Dominic Leone - Earns win in relief Leone (1-0) earned the win in relief Saturday against the Guardians after tossing a scoreless inning, striking out one.

Impact Leone has now tossed three straight scoreless outings, allowing one hit and striking out five with no walks during that span. He already has one win, one hold and one save through four outings, and while he might not be a primary candidate for save situations, he should be in line for high-leverage work -- especially if he can continue pitching like this going forward.

Impact DeSclafani tossed 40 of his 64 pitches for strikes in this one and his command has been quite good to start the season, as he owns a 9:1 K:BB through 8.1 innings in 2022. He's looking to build off a strong campaign last season in which he posted a 3.17 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP across 167.2 frames, and he will try to earn his first win of the season in his next scheduled start, tabbed for April 21 on the road against the Mets.
