Tyler Rogers - Dealt first loss Rogers (0-1) took the loss during Monday's 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Padres, allowing one run on two hits with one strikeout in one inning.

Impact Rogers entered a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning and immediately surrendered two infield singles, one of which would come around to score the deciding run. The 31-year-old found the zone with all 11 of his pitches and it was far from a poor outing, though all three of San Francisco's top relievers now have losses on the young season.

Alex Wood - Goes 4.1 innings in no-decision Wood got a no-decision during Monday's 4-2 loss to San Diego, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Impact Wood was able to escape jams in the second and fourth innings while permitting a single run but was removed at 86 pitches following an Austin Nola fifth-inning long ball. The 31-year-old lefty tossed 52 of 86 pitches for strikes and will look to get in the win column against Cleveland on Sunday.

Impact Longoria underwent surgery to repair a ligament in his right index finger in late-March, and he's now doing baseball work after having his stitches removed Friday. The 36-year-old was initially expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks, but if his rehab continues to go well he could be back on the field before the end of April.

Tommy La Stella - Resumes baseball activities La Stella (Achilles) is resuming taking ground balls, hitting and running this week, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact La Stella had been shut down since landing on the injured list last week as he continues his recovery from October surgery on his Achilles. The 33-year-old was also limited during spring training, so he may require a rehab assignment before being able to make his season debut for the Giants.

Impact The Giants signed Boyd to a one-year, $5.2 million deal in mid-March knowing full well that he wouldn't be recovered from September elbow surgery until June. It looks as though he's still on that pace.

Impact Wade is on the injured list with knee inflammation to begin the season, so seeing him ramp up his baseball work less than a week after Opening Day is a good sign. The 28-year-old should advance to live at-bats and running the bases before long if he continues to progress with no issues.

Impact Ramos made his major-league debut Sunday, and he was the only Giant to get on base multiple times. Both of his hits were singles, and he came around to score on a Mauricio Dubon double in the second inning. Ramos, the Giants' first-round pick from 2017, could see regular time in the outfield while he's with the big club, at the expense of Steven Duggar and Joc Pederson primarily. Ramos slashed a solid .272/.323/.399 with four home runs, 30 RBI, 30 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 229 plate appearances at Triple-A Sacramento after a midseason promotion last year.

Impact Garcia had a versatile role for the Giants last year, as he picked up a career-high six wins while also logging 11 holds in 58 relief appearances. Jake McGee, Camilo Doval and Tyler Rogers figure to garner more high-leverage opportunities than Garcia in 2022, but the southpaw had a 25.3 percent strikeout rate last year and could factor into the late-inning mix if injuries occur or if any of those three options struggle.
