Tallies third homer Bouchard went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Impact Bouchard took Julio Urias yard in the third inning to tally the third home run of his career. The performance continued his impressive close to the season, as he now has seven extra-base hits across his last six starts. Bouchard has maintained a .306/.452/.514 line across his first 93 plate appearances in the majors, and he's taken advantage of his opportunity to make a case for a roster spot with the big-league club in 2023.

Hitting for power Bouchard went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored Sunday against the Dodgers.

Impact Bouchard accounted for the majority of his production in the ninth inning when he tallied an RBI double and also came around to score. He has taken over an everyday role since Sept. 21 and done well in the audition, maintaining a .400 average with one home run, four doubles, four runs scored and six RBI across 30 at-bats. Much of that damage has also come away from Coors Field, as four of his extra-base hits in that span have come on the road.

Impact Bouchard went yard as part of the Rockies' ninth-inning rally that came up two runs short. He's found some success at the plate lately, going 7-for-14 (.500) with six walks and five RBI across his last five games. For the season, the 26-year-old is up to a .288/.472/.423 slash line with two homers, nine RBI, six runs scored and a double through 72 plate appearances. He's also drawn a walk in eight straight games, showing strong plate discipline.

Impact Bouchard collected his third consecutive multi-hit game, with Tuesday's being the first that came on the road. He has also earned six straight starts, and he's reached base at least once in every game in that span while maintaining a .727 on-base percentage. He's made the most of his chances at the big-league level since being called up Aug. 30, maintaining a .959 OPS with a home run, seven RBI and four runs scored across 16 games.

Impact Bouchard earned his fifth straight start and improved his case for regular playing time with two hits Sunday. He is 6-for-11 in that stretch, including seven walks compared to one strikeout. The Rockies have a crowded outfield now that CJ Cron will be back in the lineup on a regular basis, but Bouchard has the hot hand and may stick around in the lineup to close the season.

Impact Bouchard will stick in the lineup for a fifth straight game after going 4-for-8 with a double and six walks over the previous four contests, but his run of steady playing time could soon come to an end. C.J. Cron (hand) is back in action at first base Sunday following a three-game absence, and his return to the lineup likely means that Michael Toglia will see more playing time in the corner outfield moving forward. At least for Sunday's contest, however, Bouchard will stick in the outfield alongside Yonathan Daza and Randal Grichuk while Toglia sits after starting each of the prior six contests.

Activated and optioned Bouchard (oblique) was activated off the injured list Saturday and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Impact Bouchard had only appeared in three big-league games before straining his left oblique in late June, so it's no surprise to see that he'll return to the minors now that he's healthy. He could get another chance soon, however, as he's hit .324/.419/.655 in 39 games for Albuquerque this season.

Set to begin rehab assignment Bouchard (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday, according to MLB.com.

Impact Bouchard participated in batting practice for the third consecutive day Wednesday and is nearing a return to game action. It's unclear which affiliate he will begin the assignment with, or how many plate appearances the team hopes he'll get prior to being activated. Bouchard has been sidelined since June 27, and the Rockies will likely have to choose between keeping him or Sam Hilliard on the active roster once Bouchard is activated.

Out with oblique strain Bouchard landed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a strained left oblique.

Impact Bouchard earned his first career call-up in mid-June but appeared in just three games before hitting the injured list, going hitless in seven at-bats. He'll be eligible to return next Monday, as the move can be backdated up to three days, but that may not be on the table unless the strain is a particularly mild one.

Impact Bouchard was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday but did not appear in a game until Sunday when he started in left field and hit eighth to make his big-league debut. The 26-year-old doesn't have much prospect pedigree, but he has consistently shown an above-average bat in the minors. Even so, he isn't likely to find regular playing time in Colorado without a significant number of injuries ahead of him.

Moves up to majors The Rockies selected Bouchard's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

Impact The 26-year-old will receive his first look at the big-league level after he performed as a well-above-average hitter (169 wRC+) at Triple-A this season, slugging 11 home runs and chipping nine stolen bases in 165 plate appearances. Bouchard will join the active roster as a replacement for utility man Garrett Hampson, who was placed on the COVID-19-related injured list. Like Hampson, Bouchard has the ability to play multiple spots on defense (first base, third base, left field and right field).
