Watch David Ortiz say goodbye to Fenway Park for the final time

On Monday night at Game 3 of the ALDS between the Red Sox and Indians, Boston was defeated by Cleveland 4-3 -- resulting in a sweep and the elimination of the Red Sox from the 2016 playoffs.

If the end of the season wasn't enough to damper the spirits of the Boston faithful, Monday night also ended an era, as David Ortiz is set to retire from baseball (as a player) in the very near future.

Before walking out of the stadium for the final time, Ortiz said farewell to the Fenway Park faithful:
