Josh Lowe - Tallies 10th homer Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Impact Lowe snapped a 17-game stretch without going yard, during which he hit only .237 with one RBI and four runs scored. That continued a down season from a power perspective for Lowe, as his slugging percentage and ISO have dropped 99 and 48 points, respectively, from 2023. Positively, he has been active and successful on the basepaths, tallying 24 stolen bases on 25 attempts.

Junior Caminero - Slugs fourth homer Caminero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Impact Caminero homered for the first time since Aug. 31, a span of 15 games. He hit only .241 across 58 at-bats in that time to go along with four doubles and a .623 OPS. Positively, Caminero has hit primarily third in the lineup and remains an everyday player for the Rays.

Jose Siri - Drives home four in win Siri went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, and four RBI in Tuesday's 8-3 victory over the Red Sox.

Impact The Tampa Bay outfielder put the team in front 3-2 with his 339-foot solo shot down the left field line in the fifth inning. Siri later drove home the Rays' last three runs of the game with a bases-clearing double in the eighth. The 29-year-old has fallen out of everyday playing time, starting just 10 of Tampa Bay's 16 games in September, thanks in part to a team-worst 159 Ks in 431 total plate appearances. He is now slashing .192/.262/.379 with 18 homers, 16 doubles, 48 runs scored and 47 RBI this season.

Impact The 25-year-old flamethrower was outstanding in this 96-pitch performance, generating an impressive 18 whiffs -- with 10 alone coming on his fastball -- en route to his six punchouts. All the damage Boston was able to impart on Baz came via a Triston Casas two-run homer in the second inning. This marks the fifth consecutive outing in which Baz has yielded two or fewer runs, as he's pitched to a 2.03 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB over 31 innings during that span. He is scheduled to make his next start against Toronto at home this weekend.

Impact The right-hander landed on the shelf in mid-August due to a lat strain and was able to resume throwing at the end of the month, but he won't have enough time to build up to game readiness before the end of the campaign. Fairbanks will finish the season with 23 saves and a 3.57 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:17 K:BB across 45.1 innings. He should be fully healthy in plenty of time for spring training.

Richie Palacios - Starting rehab assignment Palacios (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Palacios will play a few rehab games with Durham before returning to the Rays during the final week of the series if all goes well. The utility player has been sidelined since early August with a right knee sprain.

Jeffrey Springs - Ruled out for rest of season Rays manager Kevin Cash said Tuesday that Springs (elbow) is feeling better but will not return this season, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Springs landed on the 15-day injured list earlier this month with left elbow fatigue, roughly six weeks after he returned to the majors following a long rehab from Tommy John surgery. It does not seem at this point that Springs' current elbow issue is overly concerning, but there would be little wisdom in rushing him back before the regular season concludes.

Cooper Kinney - Finishes year on IL High-A Bowling Green placed Kinney on the 7-day injured list Sept. 6 with an undisclosed injury.

Impact It's unclear what injury Kinney is dealing with, but he missed a little over three weeks with an undisclosed injury in August that also required a stint on the IL, so this latest issue may have been an aggravation. Injuries have already played a big role in Kinney's career, as shoulder surgery cost him all of 2022. Kinney was solid at Single-A in 2023 (110 wRC+), but he hit for significantly more power in his second season since the surgery. Kinney slashed .289/.352/.494 with 10 homers, 32 doubles, six steals and a 22.2 percent strikeout rate in 87 games for the Hot Rods. A lefty hitter who played the majority of his games at second base, Kinney does not project to offer positive defensive value, so he'll need to carry over his offensive success next year in his Double-A debut.
