Logan Driscoll - Dealing with quad bruise after fall Driscoll was diagnosed with a left quadricep contusion after he was removed in the seventh inning of Saturday's 7-1 win over the Orioles, MLB.com reports. Impact He suffered the injury in question in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he was tracking a popup off the bat of the Orioles' Adley Rutschman. Driscoll reeled in the catch for the out, but his momentum carried him into a post near the Tampa Bay dugout, and he stumbled down the stairs. The rookie backstop eventually got back on his feet in obvious pain and stayed in the game, but he was pulled from the contest after he was noticeably limping down the first-base line on a two-run infield single in the top of the seventh. The Rays didn't call up another catcher from the minors, so the expectation is that Driscoll will be ready to play the next time he's needed to replace No. 1 backstop Ben Rortvedt.
