Impact Acquired in the Yusei Kikuchi trade with Houston, Bloss has made three starts for Buffalo in August, tossing 9.2 scoreless innings with an 8:5 K:BB. The 23-year-old right-hander is in his first full professional season after being a third-round pick of the Astros in 2023, so Toronto is keeping an eye on his workload, but he's only thrown 75.2 innings so far across four levels -- he started the year at High-A Asheville. A regular turn in September could set Bloss up for a full-time spot in the Jays' rotation in 2025.

Impact Barger has found his power swing with three homers and two doubles over his last eight games, though he's hitting a modest .258 (8-for-31) in that span. The outfielder stretched the Blue Jays' lead to 4-1 in the sixth inning with his blast Sunday. He's up to five homers, 19 RBI, 13 runs scored and one stolen base through 135 plate appearances this season, though he's slashing a poor .194/.230/.372 overall.

Alejandro Kirk - Swats homer Sunday Kirk went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a bases-loaded walk in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Angels.

Impact Kirk's walk forced in the opening run in the third inning, and he tacked on two more when he went deep off Matt Moore in the seventh. The homer was Kirk's second in five games and his fifth long ball of the year. The catcher is up to a .248/.322/.358 slash line with 41 RBI, 18 runs scored, 12 doubles and no stolen bases through 78 contests this season.

Kevin Gausman - Stellar in 12th win Gausman (12-9) allowed a run on two hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.

Impact Gausman has dominated the Angels in two of his last three starts, once in Anaheim and once in Toronto. This was the fourth time this year he's reached double digits in strikeouts. The only run on his line Sunday came on a Zach Neto RBI single in the fourth inning. Gausman has four quality starts over his last six outings, and he's gone at least seven innings in each of those quality starts. For the year, the Blue Jays' ace is at a 4.10 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 141:43 K:BB through 151.1 innings over 26 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road at Minnesota.
