Over his last four games, he's gone 9-for-15 with two doubles, two walks, five runs and five RBI, pushing his slash line on the season to .259/.317/.345. If he starts using his legs after he gets on base as well -- Robles has yet to attempt a stolen base this season -- he'll become a much more appealing fantasy asset.

Impact Washington was firmly out of contention by the second half of last season, but the 24-year-old simply didn't perform well enough over the first five months of the season to justify a regular spot in the lineup down the stretch. After opening 2021 as the Nationals' leadoff man, Robles lost that job by mid-April, then ceded his starting role in the outfield to Lane Thomas when he was demoted to Triple-A Rochester on Aug. 31 after slashing .203/.310/.295 over 369 plate appearances with Washington. Robles at least bounced back at the Triple-A level with a .936 OPS to close out the year, but that's not enough to override what has mostly been a downward trend at the plate following his impressive debut season in the majors in 2018. Washington could still reopen a spot in the outfield for Robles by shifting Thomas over to left field, but it's clear that Robles is going to need to show an improved approach during camp and Grapefruit League games to reclaim a regular role in Washington.
