Dee Strange-Gordon - Returns from paternity leave The Nationals activated Strange-Gordon (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

Impact Victor Arano (knee) was placed on the 15-day injured list to open up room on the 26-man active roster for Strange-Gordon, who was away from the team over the weekend to observe the birth of his child. Now that he's back with the Nationals, Strange-Gordon is expected to settle back into a utility role.

Patrick Corbin - Quality start in win Corbin (2-8) earned the victory Sunday in Cincinnati, striking out five in six innings while allowing three runs on nine hits.

Impact After a tumultuous first inning where Corbin allowed three runs on five hits, he settled down and held the Reds' lineup scoreless over the next five frames. It was just the third time in 12 starts where the lefty pitched at least six innings and allowed three or fewer runs. Impact Strasburg threw six scoreless innings during a rehab start at Triple-A Rochester on Friday and appears to be on track to rejoin the Nationals' rotation this week. Impact He tried to field a groundball and fell down awkwardly before walking off under his own power, albeit with a limp. The team should soon provide an official injury designation for Arano.
