Falls Short of Victory at Phoenix Larson finished fourth in the United Rentals 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon.
Impact Larson led a race-high 201 laps from the pole position at Phoenix. He would be locked in a one-on-one duel with Kevin Harvick in the closing laps for the win but a late caution would totally change the script of this race. Larson would restart overtime with the lead, but he couldn't hold off William Byron and a handful of other drivers on the last lap. He would eventually sink to fourth-place by the checkered flag.
