Eliminated from Playoffs Larson experienced mechanical problems late and finished 35th in the Bank of America ROVAL 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Impact It wasn't an easy race by any measure for Larson and the No. 5 team. However, the Hendrick Motorsports star would press through the challenges and finish stage 2 in third-place. Larson was set up with good track position for the stretch run. Unfortunately, Larson's Chevrolet would experience a toe link issue and he would tumble through the field. He would lose 5 laps to the leaders and finish a distant 35th-place. The poor finish eliminated Larson from advancing into the Round of 8 in the Chase.
