While race fans are bummed that Dale Earnhardt Jr. won’t be back behind the wheel of the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet until Daytona next year, he’s certainly making good use of his time out of the cockpit.
NASCAR’s most popular driver is in Alabama this weekend, where he will do TV and radio commentary, but his most important work might have happened already: Earnhardt visited Stemley Road Elementary School in Talladega, where he read to school children.
Nothing like a little Dr. Seuss to get your weekend off to a great start.
