Impact Wiseman is expected to get in a scrimmage at the G League level Friday, but Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports that he won't play in Santa Cruz's contest Saturday. The 2020 No. 2 overall pick has been ramping up his rehab, but there still isn't a definitive timeline for a return to game action.

Before the break, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that Wiseman will likely play in some G League games before debuting for the Warriors. Assuming that happens within the next couple of weeks, Wiseman could be ready to play sometime in mid-to-late March. Whenever the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 does take the floor, it will mark his first appearance since April 10.

Likely to ramp up in G League Wiseman said Wednesday that he will "most likely" appear in games for the Warriors' G League affiliate before making his 2021-22 NBA debut, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Impact After a prolonged recovery from meniscus repair surgery he required in April followed by an arthroscopic procedure on the same right knee in December, Wiseman is finally nearing the finish line in his rehab program. He took a significant step forward Wednesday by taking part in 5-on-5 scrimmaging, and he'll likely head to the G League during the upcoming NBA All-Star break to continue practicing on a regular basis. Once he's deemed ready for game action, Wiseman looks as though he'll first ramp up with the Santa Cruz Warriors, as he won't have the luxury of picking up consistent minutes with the NBA team, at least not right away. Whenever he receives the green light to suit up for Golden State, Wiseman will likely be eased into the rotation as the main backup to Kevon Looney, who has performed well defensively as the team's starting center this season.
