The 25-year-old guard has started three of the last five games, sitting out the other two as Memphis keeps an eye on his game count, and during those contests he's averaged 8.7 points, 6.0 boards, 4.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 threes.

Making another start Goodwin will enter the first unit for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Impact Goodwin will make his second start with Memphis and his first since being upgraded to a two-way player on Saturday. In two appearances with the Grizzlies, Goodwin is averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals over 26.5 minutes.

Impact Goodwin will take the two-way roster spot left open after Memphis waived Jacob Gilyard on Saturday. Goodwin will likely compete with Derrick Rose for backup point guard minutes behind Luke Kennard when he's with the Grizzlies.

The return of Derrick Rose (ankle) from a one-game absence played a part in Goodwin's exclusion from the rotation, though head coach Taylor Jenkins also made a lineup change featuring Luke Kennard as the team's de facto starting point guard. Jenkins' frequent rotation changes as well as Goodwin's status as a player on a 10-day deal will make the 25-year-old's minutes and production difficult to trust on a game-by-game basis, even while Memphis remains without multiple key players due to injury.

Impact The Grizzlies are a little healthier coming out of the All-Star break, but Goodwin figures to see some minutes with the second unit. Goodwin saw action in 40 games for the Suns but had fallen out of the rotation over the last month-and-a-half. He could have a chance at more opportunity in Brooklyn, but it's highly unlikely that Goodwin becomes fantasy-relevant in most leagues.
