Charlie Villanueva gets tattoo supporting those living with alopecia

Charlie Villanueva has dealt with the jokes and sideways looks his entire life.

As a person living with alopecia, Villanueva grew up dealing with the stares and understands their weight. Now, out of solidarity with the many others touched by immune system-triggered hair loss, Villanueva wears the word as a badge.

The NBA free agent recently had the word "Alopecia" inked on his arm flanked by angel wings and crowned with a halo.

Villanueva wrote about his reasoning behind the tattoo on Instagram:

Did it for my angels. Charlie's Angels. Without having Alopecia I don't know where I would be. Alopecia is a blessing in disguise and it made me who I am today. So What is Alopecia? My purpose in life.

Dan is on Twitter. He's got angels all around him, they keep him surrounded.
