Lance Stephenson has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract to return to the Indiana Pacers, according to a report from ESPN. The first two years of the deal are guaranteed, with the team holding the option an that third season.

Stephenson played his first four NBA seasons in Indiana, and was a key component of a team that battled LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals in consecutive seasons.

But after leaving in free agency in 2014, Stephenson has bounced around, and has struggled to earn a permanent position on any team's roster. He spent time with the Clippers and Grizzlies last season, and has appeared in only 12 games combined this season in Minnesota and New Orleans.

Pacers president Larry Bird knows exactly what he's getting with Stephenson, however, and maybe giving him some security with a deal that's guaranteed for two years will help revive the 26-year old's career.
