Russell Westbrook ties Michael Jordan with 7 consecutive triple-doubles

Published Dec. 14, 2016 8:30 a.m. ET

On Friday night, in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 102-99 loss to the Houston Rockets, Russell Westbrook recorded his seventh consecutive triple-double (27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists), tying Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson.

Westbrook needs two more to tie Wilt Chamberlain's record of nine in a row. If he remains on this torrid pace, with 12 triple-doubles in 23 games, he'd finish with 42, topping Robertson's record of 41 in a season. Westbrook is averaging a triple-double, with 30.9 points, 11.3 assists and 10.8 rebounds; Robertson is the only player to do that over a season in 1961-62.

The Bestbrook of all Westbrooks, Russell Westbrook, does not stop. Ever.
