Unlikely to return for playoffs Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said Tuesday that Hardaway (foot) would unlikely be able to return for a potential playoff run, NBA writer Marc Stein reports. Impact Hardaway suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal on his left foot at the end of January and underwent surgery a few days later. There haven't been any reports of a setback, but Kidd said "he's a ways away" and shook his head when asked about a potential return during the playoffs. Fantasy managers still rostering Hardaway can safely drop him, as many leagues don't extend past March. In his likely absence, Dallas will have to rely heavily on the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Reggie Bullock and Josh Green for the remainder of the campaign.
