Inks two-way deal The Grizzlies are signing Jemison to a two-way contract Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact After GG Jackson signed his four-year deal, Memphis was left with an open two-way roster spot. Jemison will fill that spot after making six appearances, including two starts for the Grizzlies. The 23-year-old big man is averaging 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.2 minutes across that span.

The 24-year-old center is getting his opportunity thanks to injuries to Brandon Clarke (Achilles), Jaren Jackson (hip) and Xavier Tillman (knee), but what value Jemison has as a DFS punt play will evaporate quickly once the Grizzlies' frontcourt gets healthier.

Impact Jemison's 10-day contract with the Wizards just expired, so the Grizzlies moved pretty quickly here to add some much-needed depth. Jemison has spent most of his time this season with Birmingham in the G League where he averaged 12.9 points and 11.9 rebounds.

Impact Washington will have the option of bringing Jemison back on a second 10-day deal, but it's unclear if the team intends to keep its 15-man roster spot open for the undrafted rookie center. With Daniel Gafford and Marvin Bagley ahead of him in the pecking order at center, Jemison was limited to a pair of one-minute appearances over his week-and-a-half-long stay with Washington. If Jemison isn't re-signed, he'll likely head back to the G League's Birmingham Squadron, with whom he had been playing prior to catching on with the Wizards on the 10-day deal.

Impact Jemison has spent the 2023-24 season with the Birmingham Squadron up to this point, averaging 13.6 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.3 minutes across nine appearances. Jemison will likely compete for depth minutes at Washington's center spot behind Daniel Gafford and Marvin Bagley.
