Impact One would think Klein would be the beneficiary of extra playing time with fellow starter Matt Milano (pectoral) being out, but that hasn't been the case and Klein is spending a much higher percentage of time on special teams than in the regular defense. That's a bit of a surprise, considering Klein started off the season strong with five tackles in each of the first two games and has familiarity with Sean McDermott's defensive schemes. Klein only played 19 defensive snaps in Tuesday's loss and just eight the week prior against the Raiders, so it looks like he can be safely avoided in deep IDP formats. Plus, there's a good chance Milano returns as early as this week against the Chiefs.

Impact Klein is typically a starter alongside his two talented teammates, but he's the first to sit out in certain packages. That may not be the case this week, as the Bills have a whittled-down linebacker corps for the game and may be relying on Klein more than would typically be expected. Even though he'll stay on the outside, he may be the one linebacker versed enough in the Bills' defense that he could be asked to take on Edmunds' normal play-calling duties. Klein posted five tackles in Week 1, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him equal or exceed that total against the Dolphins.

The Bills played their base 4-3 defense on just on just 21.5 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019, and while Klein will be on the field more than that, he's also likely to see the least amount of playing time among Buffalo's three starting linebackers. For that reason, Klein is expected to see more special-teams work than his two fellow starters.
