Impact McGrone was designated to return from the NFI list in late November, but he apparently didn't show enough progress at practice to warrant being reinstated to the active roster. The rookie fifth-round pick won't make his NFL debut in 2021 as he continues to return from a torn ACL in November 2020.

Impact McGrone was selected in the fifth-round of the 2021 Draft and had tore his ACL while at Michigan in November of 2020. At the time it was thought he might miss the entire 2021 campaign, so any return this season would be seen as significant progress. Although his designation to return does not guarantee he plays this season, it has opened a 21-day window for him to practice with the team and try to get activated.
