Impact Slayton looked like he could be on the verge of a breakthrough with a six-catch, 79-yard performance in Week 5, but he fell back to earth with Sunday's quiet showing. Fellow receivers Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (hamstring) were both inactive for the contest, but it was tight end Daniel Bellinger who led the Giants in both catches and receiving yards. There's too much volatility among New York's pass-catching corps for any player on the unit to have fantasy viability at the moment.

Emerges for solid game Slayton recorded six receptions on seven targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Packers.
Impact Slayton took advantage of a depleted Giants' receiving corps to lead the team in targets, receptions and yards. His longest gain went for 26 yards, which helped push the Giants into field-goal range. Slayton also tallied four additional gains that went for double-digit yards. He entered the game having recorded only one catch across three games, and he is likely to shift to a smaller role once the team's receivers get healthier.

Impact Slayton saw his most action of the campaign in Week 4 against Chicago, playing 62 percent of New York's offensive snaps. He didn't do much with the opportunity, however, logging just one catch on two targets for 11 yards. Slayton figures to again spend considerable time on the field in Week 5, as he, David Sills and Richie James are currently the only healthy wideouts on the active roster. Slayton is likely behind the other two on the depth chart, however, and expectations should be tempered given that New York ranks second-to-last in the league in passing yards per game through four weeks. While the Giants received good news Friday with Daniel Jones' (ankle) exclusion from the injury report, it should also be noted that running back Saquon Barkley figures to siphon off much of the limited opportunity in the passing game, as he is tied for the team lead with 15 catches and ranks third with 107 receiving yards.
