Unproductive with rookie QB Slayton tallied three catches on four targets for 21 yards in a blowout Week 10 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Impact Slayton tied for the team lead in targets and receptions, but that didn't amount to much production on a day when rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito threw for only 86 yards in his first NFL start. Slayton continues to log a healthy snap count every week and leads Giants wideouts in targets and receiving yards on the campaign, though that's amounted to a quiet 26/337/0 line through 10 contests. Daniel Jones (knee) is out for the season, so unless DeVito manages to unexpectedly break out behind New York's porous offensive line, the rest-of-season outlook for Slayton isn't promising.

Leads team in receiving Sunday Slayton hauled in four of his seven targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 30-6 loss to Las Vegas.

Impact Slayton finished as the Giants' leading receiver and the only position player other than star tailback Saquon Barkley to crack 50 yards Sunday. A good portion of that production came while playing with Tommy DeVito under center, who took over for starter Daniel Jones after the latter left with a potential major knee injury on the first play of the second quarter. The UDFA quarterback wound up targeting Slayton five times after taking over, which was more than any other receiver over the three quarters of action DeVito was active for. That said, Slayton remains a risky fantasy play while New York attempts to address its dire QB situation against Dallas next Sunday.

Impact Starting QB Tyrod Taylor exited the contest with a rib cage injury in the second quarter and didn't return, resulting in the Giants turning to their ground attack almost exclusively for the remainder of the game. Though Slayton lost a yard on his lone catch, he was also the only Giants wide receiver to haul in a pass in the ugly offensive display -- in fact, Wan'Dale Robinson was the only other wideout to see a target for the G-Men, with running back Saquon Barkley leading the team with five targets and three catches that netted zero yards. Both Taylor and Daniel Jones (neck) are uncertain for a Week 9 game in Las Vegas, and if the Giants again need to turn to undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito under center, Slayton and the team's pass-catching corps as a whole could again struggle. Even if Taylor or Jones is able to play, Slayton doesn't inspire much confidence in fantasy given that he hasn't caught more than four passes or tallied more than 69 yards in any of his seven games so far this season and has yet to score a touchdown.

Impact Slayton posted season-best marks of four catches and 69 yards against Buffalo in Week 6, but he followed that effort with season-low totals of just one catch and two targets against Washington. His lone reception came near the end of the first quarter, and he was targeted just once after that. Meanwhile, Darren Waller led New York with seven catches, eight targets and 98 yards, and rookie Jalin Hyatt finished second in both targets (five) and receiving yards (75). Waller is the only pass catcher that has established week-to-week fantasy value for the Giants so far this season, and while Slayton ranks second on the team with 258 yards through the air on the campaign, he's yet to find the end zone through seven contests.
